5 Methods to Work from Home Today

Watch my video: Work from Home: No BS Zone: Ep.3 - Top 5 Make Money Online Tools

1. Mturk - Amazon Mechanical Turk - created by Amazon in 2005, it is a free service that allows workers or turkers as they call it to complete simple tasks for a piece rate. From labeling search results, to transcribing audio, to writing 100-400 word articles, it couldn't get much easier. The work ranges from 0.01 per task or easy tasks to $5.00 for difficult tasks. It's a bit difficult to make more than a few dollars per hour but when you do it for awhile you get access to the higher paying tasks. It can cause wrist cramps but I've made as much as $15 per hour or more after you get the hang of it.

2. Ebay - still one of the most proven, trusted ways to sell your stuff online and start a small business. This can turn into a worthwhile home business if you're able to buy low and sell high. However, with the challenging economy it has been harder than ever to compete with other sellers, but there's always room for someone to do it better than the rest.

3. Blogging - this is my favorite and is one of the most accessible ways to make money online. While it will not happen overnight, if you have a passion for a topic that you can continually write great content, you will make money at this. It's so easy to create blogs, set up a feed, and post adsense ads to your blog. Not every free blog service allows you to have ads unless you get tons of traffic, but I recommend blogger because it's so easy and they integrate adsense into every blog you post.

4. iStockPhoto - this innovative service allows amateur photographers to make money online by selling their stock photos and videos to their users. The way it works is that they sell these stock photos and videos uploaded by users to marketing professionals, small businesspersons, and other web marketers. As a contributor, you provide the content and an you get a generous commission every time someone downloads your work.

5. Freelancing - There is a increasing demand for freelancers with article writing, graphic design, and administrative work. It's hard to get started doing this especially with the enormous competition in countries with workers that will do the work for less but you can still be successful with this. Once you get the hang of it you can even start your own website to market your services and create a niche market for your unique talents. This can be a great way to make extra income or even replace your day job and free up your schedule!
